“North Carolina’s real gross domestic product increased at the fastest pace in the Southeast in the third quarter last year.
The 2.8 percent growth from the second to third quarter represents the 14th fastest growth rate in the nation, according to data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. None of the states with a faster growth rate had a real GDP larger than North Carolina, making this state the fastest-growing large economy in the nation in the third quarter.
The North Carolina’s real GDP increased to $510 billion in the third quarter, a 4.7 percent increase from the third quarter of 2014.”
